Skillsfolio.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account on Skillsfolio, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and the Disclaimer. If you are creating an account on behalf of an institution, you confirm you're authorised to do so.
2. Who can use Skillsfolio
Skillsfolio is provided for trainees, trainers, institution coordinators, national administrators, and national support staff affiliated with a participating technical training institution. Accounts are tied to one institution (except national admin and national support accounts) and should only be created by the person the account belongs to.
3. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity that happens under your account.
- Trainees and trainers choose their institution and (for trainees) cohort at signup — pick the correct one, as it determines who can review your evidence.
- My Profile fields — hobbies, career objective, skills, education history, industrial attachments, certificates, and referees — are entirely optional and under your control. You decide what to add, and anything you add there may appear on your CV (see Section 6).
- Tell your coordinator promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
4. Evidence you submit
- You confirm that evidence you upload (documents, images, videos, or linked YouTube/Google Drive files) is your own work, or that you have the right to submit it.
- Don't upload evidence containing other people's personal information without their consent, or content that is unlawful, harassing, or unrelated to your training.
- Upload size limits depend on your account's file type and plan (currently PDFs/images up to 10MB, video 20MB on Free and 50MB on Premium) — see the in-app upload guidance for current limits, since these may change.
- A Google Drive link only works for a reviewer if you've shared it as "Anyone with the link can view" on Google's side — Skillsfolio has no control over that setting.
5. Verification and marks
Trainers review evidence submitted by trainees in their assigned cohorts and may approve it (optionally with marks), request revision, or reopen a previously verified item. Verification decisions and any marks recorded reflect the trainer's professional judgement.
6. CV Builder and shared links
- Skillsfolio can compile your My Profile information and your verified evidence into a CV. Pending or in-revision evidence never appears on it.
- Generating a shareable CV link makes that information viewable by anyone who has the link, without needing a Skillsfolio account — the same way a shared Google Doc link works. Only share it with people you want to see that information.
- You can leave My Profile fields blank if you'd rather they not appear on your CV — nothing there is required to use the rest of Skillsfolio.
- Viewing a CV is always free. Printing or saving it as a PDF may require the CV owner's account to have an active Premium subscription (see Section 8).
7. Testimonials
Trainees may submit a testimonial (a written story, optionally with a photo, video, or YouTube link) to be featured publicly on the Skillsfolio landing page. Submissions are reviewed by a national administrator before publishing — only approved testimonials appear publicly, and you can ask to have a published testimonial of yours removed through the Contact Us form.
8. Subscriptions and payments
- Trainee and trainer accounts include a free trial period. After it ends, continued full access requires a paid Premium subscription, billed monthly or annually at the price shown in the app at checkout.
- Premium is a one-time charge for the period you select — it does not auto-renew. You (or, where applicable, your institution) choose when to pay again.
- An institution coordinator may request and pay for Premium on behalf of trainees or trainers at their institution, at a discount off the standard price, in place of the individual paying directly.
- Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor — currently Pesapal or Paystack, whichever the national admin has active — and Skillsfolio never receives or stores your card or mobile money details directly; see Section 9 and the Privacy Policy for what we do store about a payment.
- If an institution has paid for your Premium on your behalf and that arrangement lapses, the national admin may revoke the remaining Premium period; your account then reverts to the free-trial limits described in Section 4.
- Questions about a specific charge, or a refund request, can be raised through the Contact Us form.
9. Data Policy
This section summarises how Skillsfolio handles your data; the Privacy Policy is the full, authoritative document and takes precedence if the two ever differ.
- What's collected: account details (name, email, hashed password, role, institution, cohort); evidence you submit and its verification history; anything you choose to add to My Profile; testimonial submissions; and payment records (amount, plan, and a payment-processor transaction reference — never your card or mobile money number).
- Why: to run the core features you're using — your portfolio, verification queue, CV Builder, and billing — and for nothing else. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
- Who can see what: access is scoped by role and institution as described in the Privacy Policy's "Who can see it" section — with the specific exception that a CV share link you generate is visible to anyone holding that link.
- How long it's kept: for as long as your account is active, to preserve your training record; see Section 5 of the Privacy Policy for specifics on individual data types.
- Your control: My Profile fields, referees, and testimonials are all things you choose to add and can update or remove; you can also ask your coordinator or the national admin to correct or delete account data.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to: misuse the platform to harass another user; attempt to access accounts, institutions, or evidence you're not authorised to see; upload malicious files; attempt to bypass Premium/payment restrictions through technical means; or interfere with the normal operation of the service.
11. Institution and national administration
Institution coordinators manage cohorts and trainer assignments within their own institution, and may request Premium on behalf of their trainees or trainers. The national administrator manages the list of participating institutions and their coordinator accounts, and may add national support staff to help review Premium requests. Coordinators, national admin, and national support staff may deactivate accounts or remove content that violates these terms.
12. Changes to the service
Skillsfolio is an evolving platform. Features, limits, and these terms may change; continued use after a change means you accept the update.
